1. Talk with Your Primary Care Provider – Your primary care provider (or referring provider) will contact Intermountain Health Oncology to request a consultation and let them know you would like to receive treatment at Kane County Hospital.
2. Intermountain Health Reviews Your Referral – The Intermountain oncology team reviews your referral, coordinates the consultation, and handles the prior authorization process.
3. Schedule Your Tele-Oncology Visit – You will have a virtual visit with an Intermountain Health cancer specialist while you are at Kane County Hospital. Our staff will help you connect with the specialist during your appointment.
4. Treatment at Kane County Hospital – After your visit, the Intermountain oncologist will send treatment orders to our chemotherapy infusion center. Your treatments will then be administered locally by the Kane County Hospital care team.
