The Kane County Hospital Auxiliary gross year to date income is 16.7 percent up from February 2017. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, managers and mostly our customers. This tireless group continues to support the Thrift Store with scheduled hours of volunteer work. Most of the volunteers have worked for several years and continue to contribute to the success of the store.
During the roundtable reports, there was a plea from the floor asking for a new sweeper for the store outdoor area. It seems they get so caught up in selling their donations that someone put a price on their sweeper and sold it! So, with feigned irritation and several suggestions of labels to be placed on the new unit, the group voted in favor of purchasing a new machine.
The general membership also wanted to remind customers and those donating goods of the Thrift Shop hours. They are open 10 – 4, Utah time, Monday through Saturday. They have had to discard some donated products which have been left during their closed hours due to inclement weather. The items are exposed to rain, snow, dirt and wind making many items unsellable.
The meeting adjourned with best wishes to members Emma and Marie. Both had been in an auto accident and are doing well. The Auxiliary “family” as a unit, is taking care of both ladies with sincere wishes of thankfulness and helping hands.
