Position Summary:

The Nursing Clinical Manager will oversee the clinical operations of the skilled nursing facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves managing nursing staff, coordinating with other healthcare professionals, and implementing policies and procedures to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. The position includes a varied and flexible schedule and requires some shifts working directly on the floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support nursing staff within the skilled nursing facility, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures specific to the skilled nursing facility to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate patient care activities and ensure effective communication among healthcare team members.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives within the skilled nursing facility.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Work directly on the floor during some shifts to provide hands-on support and ensure high standards of patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Current RN license in Utah.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
