Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled maintenance worker to join our team and ensure our hospital’s infrastructure remains in optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Yard maintenance that includes mowing, weed eating, weed pulling and spraying.
  • Back-up for Inventory when purchaser is gone.
  • Maintain all yard equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls to ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.
  • Snow removal of all parking and sidewalks.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of hospital equipment and furnishings.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and hospital policies.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other hospital staff to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
