Kane County Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital located in the stunning red rock country of southern Utah, is seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dedicated surgical team. As a vital part of our perioperative services, you’ll help deliver exceptional care to patients in a supportive and collaborative rural healthcare environment.
Position Summary
The Certified Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists in a variety of surgical procedures. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room and supporting positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready
- Assist during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control standards
- Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team
- Assist in post-operative clean-up and preparation for subsequent cases
- Participate in the stocking and maintenance of surgical supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA or NCCT)
- BLS certification required (or must obtain upon hire)
- Previous surgical experience preferred, but new graduates welcome
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
