The mission of the Kane County Hospital Dietary Department is to meet the food and nutritional needs of patients and residents in accordance with the physicians’ orders while endeavoring to provide nutritionally adequate, tasteful, visually appealing meals. We have 3 cooks, 4 helpers/dishwashers and one manager on staff, sharing a total of well over 110 years experience in foodservice, who prepare and serve anywhere from 170 to 200 meals a day, seven days a week. KCH has a contracted dietician who provides nutritional counseling and specialized diet training for inpatients and outpatients.
