Position Summary: Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment equity programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  2. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  3. Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  4. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  5. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, report and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  6. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career pathing program, writes and places advertisements.
  7. Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews.
  8. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  9. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  10. Maintains Human Resources Information System records and compiles reports from database.
  11. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  12. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

 

 

 

Knowledge and Skills:

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.

Education and work experience:

  1. Three to five years of Human Resources Generalist experience, and
  2. A Certification of Human Resources Management as approved by SHRM or HRCI

Language skills:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Employee: co-pay by-weekly: Single - $56.65, Tow party $121.78, Family - $167.08

Employer HSA Contributions bi-weekly for: Single- $92.31 ($2400. Annually), Two Party/Family $184.62 ($4800.annually)

Dental Select: Deductible Single $50. per person and $150 per family

Dental Select co-pays bi-weekly: Single $3.79, Two Party - $7.14, Family - $11.68

Opticare employee pays bi-weekly: Single -$2.52, Two Party $5.22, Family $6.54

Lincoln Life, KCH covers this. You will have $50,000 of life coverage, $2,500 per child and $5,000 on your spouse, AD&D and long-term disability.

457b: Is KCH’s pension plan. KCH will match up to 5% of your gross. You may contribute up to $19,000 per year. If you are over 50 you can use the “catch up” for an additional $6,000.
