KCH's July Healing Arts welcomes Jayme Church and Kurt Robinson

Kane County Hospital is pleased to host photographers Jayme Church and Kurt Robinson in our July show. This show features spectacular images of Native American ruins and scenic vistas to match or surpass any. The duo’s work is so complimentary to each other it is a pleasure to walk at a leisurely pace and take in the view from their lenses.

Jayme Church found her love of the beautiful slot canyons, Native American dwellings and ancient writings of southern Utah during childhood vacations to Kanab.  She soon made Kanab her permanent home, 11 years and counting.

She enjoys spending time with her twin grandsons and their older brother, as being a grandma is the best kind of fun.  When Jayme isn’t spending time roaming our beautiful red hills and scenic vistas with the family, she’s dividing her time between working full time for the Kane County Office of Tourism, as well as running 3 businesses.  Jayme and her husband Norris, own NJC Excavation, a new tour company; Adventure Tour Company/AllTOURnative Adventure SUP, kayak and canoe rentals, as well as Jayme’s photography business.

Her love of photography ranges from taking family pictures, newborn photoshoots, engagements and weddings for locals- to getting out and photographing some of the most spectacular scenery and ancient ruins in the area.  What a great way to work and play.

Kurt Robinson is carrying on his family passion of living in and sharing our slot canyons and limitless scenery.  His grandfather Merrill and Uncle Grant owned and operated Robinson Ranch Tours which planted the seed for Kurt’s love and respect for our country.  Kurt reflects, “With most of my life spent outdoors, I’ve developed a keen eye for photography.”

Robinson’s knowledge of the area has served him well over the years. He and David Abrams have created and published two books, Stepping Stones on the Path of Life and Blessings and Animal Nations. Kurt takes the photos and David adds the prose. Robinson has created a third book, Angel’s Rest Blessings, which is used during placements at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Kurt has been an Angel’s Rest caretaker for over 12 years.

With everyone’s busy schedules this summer the duo has requested to forego the reception. But if you too enjoy the scenic wonders and ancient ruins that our area has to offer, take a short break and come view this show. Jayme and Kurt’s photographic journal began on July 3 and will be on display for you viewing until August 6th.
