A native of Panaca, Nevada, Derrill Adair’s first acquaintance with red rock country was when he attended Dixie College and subsequently worked on the Glen Canyon Dam. It was there he met and married his wife Liz. They spent forty years in northwest Washington where they raised their family of seven children. During that time Adair worked in project construction management, first on industrial projects in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. The last decade of his career he spent managing the design and construction processes for hospitals in three counties in Washington state. Adair moved to Kanab in 2012 and has served on the hospital board since 2013.
